Celebrate Easter with Gemstone Eggs

crystal easter eggs for a healing holidayEaster is a celebration of life. This year, we have more to celebrate than ever. With the whole world cloaked in the uncertainty of a pandemic, finding meaning in every moment never felt more important.

When I was a kid, I enjoyed Easter for fun activities. We would paint eggs, do Easter egg hunts and eat candy. As a youngster, I didn’t feel a need to be grateful for life because the concept of death was too abstract and unfathomable.

After building up the experiences of adulthood, death becomes a more graspable reality. At the same time, so does the capacity to appreciate life's miracles and to celebrate each gift it brings.

So, let's talk about Easter, the egg and the wonderful healing properties these crystal shapes can bring for Spring rejuvenation.

The Meaning of Easter

Easter is the most important holiday of the Christian tradition. It has been celebrated by the Church for centuries. In modern times, even non-Christians celebrate Easter for various reasons.

Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox. This year we celebrate Easter on April 12, 2020. Not only is Easter following the Full Moon, but it proceeds the Pink Supermoon.

Easter in Christian Tradition

Easter is the confirmation of the divine nature of Jesus Christ, Son of God, because it celebrates his resurrection three days after his death at the crucifixion. Easter is the celebration of Jesus overcoming death and the sins of man.

The word Easter is not in the Bible aside from the King James Bible. Instead, the word "Pesach" appears, translating to Passover. This indicates that it was drawn from Judaism.

Constantine wanted Christianity to be totally separated from Judaism. He did not want Easter to be celebrated on the Jewish Passover hence he aligned it with the Spring Equinox instead.

Easter in Pagan Tradition

Although we closely associate Easter with Christianity, it is originally a pagan holiday. It is a celebration of Spring and the energy of renewal and rebirth. Easter is named after the pagan Saxon goddess Eastre.

When Christian missionaries went to convert the pagans, they blended Easter with the resurrection of Jesus since the timing was similar, and transformed the meaning to fit their purpose.

Easter in Modern Times

In modern times, Easter can be celebrated despite the religious context. Modern families have adopted the traditional Pagan meaning of Easter as a celebration of Spring. Spring is a time of new life, revitalization, and awakening.

Families with children often partake in Easter activities. This includes gifting of chocolates and visits from the Easter Bunny. Dying eggs and Easter egg hunts are popular pastimes.

Egg Shaped Crystal Meaning

In all traditions of Easter, life and rebirth are the central themes. It is therefore appropriate that the egg is the main symbol of Easter. The egg symbolizes the Spring and the hatching of new life.

All kinds of eggs have been traded during Easter. Chocolate eggs are common among kids, and so are real chicken eggs that have been colored. Adults can collect different types of eggs such as those made of metal or porcelain.

For people who want natural and organic eggs that have an even deeper meaning, there are crystal gemstone eggs. Egg-shaped crystals bring with them all the qualities of new beginnings, fertility, virility, and life and also have their individual healing properties according to the gemstone.

How about using crystal eggs instead? They do not pollute the environment because they are natural minerals. With the pandemic of COVID-19 Coronavirus peaking this Spring, there is also an egg shortage due to people baking more and hoarding more.

Thankfully, there's an abundance of crystal eggs. Pick colorful stone eggs and hide them around the house and yard, and have kids find them on Easter morning. Your kids are sure to be excited about the new and attractive replacement this year. Just don't forget where you hid them!

    Family Time with Crystal Eggs

Kids are very attracted to crystals. With Shelter-at-Home orders in place, you need to find new and educational opportunities for teaching your kids.

After the Easter Egg Hunt, take the time to learn about crystals and eggs. You may choose to teach them about the scientific qualities of each mineral. You might tell them about the energetic benefits of specific gemstone eggs. Perhaps both.gemstone eggs uses with septarian and malachite stonesGiving Crystal Eggs

Unfortunately, trading eggs in person may not be possible in 2020 because of the self-isolation and quarantines imposed upon many cities. You may be sad that you can't spend Easter with family, friends, and/or church-goers this year.

The spirit of Easter is about celebrating life through diversity. You can turn that frown upside down by gifting crystal eggs to special people. The blessing of the internet allows you to gift with a click of the mouse! You feel good giving, and they feel good knowing you are still with them in spirit.

Hi Chintan, it depends on which crystal you are talking about. We offer over 100+ crystals, and they all have their unique characteristics. The majority are all natural and untreated. Some are heated, dyed, stabilized, radiated, etc. And two are synthetic: Opalite and Goldstone. So, it really depends!
