What is a crystal pyramid?

A crystal pyramid is a three-dimensional triangle gathering its energy from the apex, amplifying it through the sides, and congregating it at the big base. Crystal pyramids are a sacred healing tool used to connect to the cosmos and raise your vibrations.

Besides using them actively in your healing practice, you can use crystal pyramids as energy vortexes around your space.

Where should pyramids be placed in Vastu?

Vastu Shastra is an ancient Indian practice of building and decorating the home to maximize well-being and harmony with nature. You can go into great depth in this complex practice, but today we will focus on where to place your crystal pyramids.

The pyramid shape is revered in Vastu Shastra for its ability to negate unwanted energies and enhance the positive. Like in crystal healing, Vastu Shastra practitioners believe that the pyramid's energy is concentrated at the apex, amplifies through the sides, and is able to enhance the surrounding space with beneficial vibrations.

Depending on the stone, the gemstone pyramid can be placed strategically in your home or office for specific purposes.

Here are a few examples to get you started:

  • Health and Healing Pyramids at the Northeast corner of the home can include Garnet, Clear Quartz, and Moss Agate.

  • Calming Crystal Pyramids at the Southwest corner of the home can include Angelite, Amazonite, and Amethyst.

  • Business Pyramids in the Southwest corner of your office can include Tigers Eye, Bloodstone, and Mahogany Obsidian.

  • Abundance Pyramids at the Northwest corner of your home if you are trying to sell it or the Southwest corner if you are seeking wealth. These can include Pyrite, Aventurine, and Iolite pyramids.

  • Protection Pyramids at the entrance of your home or room can include Black Obsidian, Black Tourmaline, and Shungite.

The directions and placement may vary from home to home, so if you are unsure, contact a professional Vastu Shastra practitioner about your space.

Where should pyramids be placed in Feng Shui?

Crystal pyramids are revered for their sacred shape and for bringing you positive chi energy in Feng Shui. This is an ancient Chinese practice of placing items in the home for the best flow.

In general, you can place your crystal pyramids in the southwest corner of your space for positive energy. To be more focused, you can place your gemstone pyramids according to your Feng Shui bagua map.

Here are examples of gemstone pyramids you can have in each corner of your map to get you started in Feng Shui balance:

  • Wealth & Prosperity: Aventurine

  • Fame & Reputation: Tigers Eye

  • Marriage & Relationships: Rose Quartz

  • New Beginnings & Family: Moss Agate

  • Health: Garnet

  • Children, Joy, Future: Howlite

  • Knowledge & Growth: Fluorite

  • Career & Life Path: Carnelian

  • Travel & Spirituality: Amethyst

Hi Carolyn, if the Citrine stone is stable enough to hold the Clear Quartz pyramid, that would be a perfect place for it! Quartz is known to amplify the energy of other crystals, and the pyramid shape is especially sacred.

Would be curious to see a picture if you do this placement!

I recently bought a clear quartz pyramid and was wondering if I could sit it on top of my citrine stone in wealth corner of home?

Sheila Satin - July 9, 2020

Hi Aparajitha, good question. The cooling energies you will find in the Calming Crystals Collection. These stones are to soothe the vibrations of your body, mind and space.

A few crystals that are on top of the list would be Angelite, Blue Calcite, and Moonstone, but many more would fit your requirements.

Hi Samantha, thank you for your email. What a wonderful name for your niece, Amethyst :)

That’s an excellent first step to have a priest come and bless your house.

Second, or meanwhile, you should have some crystals around the house. If they used to make your space feel better, they will definitely do so now.

As for protection crystals, here is a whole article we have about which ones you can use: How to use Protection Crystals (https://satincrystals.com/pages/protection-crystals).

The most popular protection crystal with our Satin Crystals customers is Rainbow Obsidian, but other stones mentioned in the article will do as well.

We also have a feature on Psychic Vampire repellents. If that applies to you, check out: Carnelian Vampire Slayer (https://satincrystals.com/pages/carnelian-vampire-slayer).

Lisa Satin - January 31, 2020

Hello Sylvan,

I’m glad to hear that you are embarking on the journey of crystal ball scrying.

A lot of people use glass balls because it’s definitely more economical and is perfectly clear due to the fact that it’s factory-made.
Although we don’t discourage this, we prefer and recommend real crystal balls because with glass you don’t get the natural power of crystals.

For starters, we recommend clear spheres with natural inclusions. This could be Quartz or Amethyst. You can also look into semi-clear varieties of Fluorite, Madagascar Rose, and Calcite. With transparent pieces, you are able to gaze deep within the sphere for deep insight.

Once you are more experienced and can more easily enter into the trance state, opaque spheres do just as well.

We actually offer spheres ranging from marble size up to 8". We definitely keep a larger stock of the pieces that are 2 -3 inches, because those are the most popular sizes.

When it comes to scrying, at least 3 inches is nice, 4 and up is even better if it’s within budget.

If you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you,

Lisa Satin

I just wanted to ask if there is a recommended size for scrying with a ball; I was surprised to see that most balls you carry seem to be only about 2" (unless I’m misreading). I’ve been getting ready to find the right ball for myself but I have a really limited income and haven’t been able to find a lot of information or guidance about the difference in scrying with a glass, transparent ball versus an opaque stone or quartz ball. I read your mention of using many opaque balls, like lapis, but I’m wondering if the visual quality or the nature of the visions is different in an opaque vs a clear ball. I’m clairvoyant but have never used a ball before! Looking forward to learning more about scrying and finding the right ball for me. Thank you for your help!
