You can use a soft polishing cloth for your bracelet.

For copper, the metal will oxidize naturally over time, and faster depending on the environment, like humidity, heat, salt on skin, etc. So you can either enjoy the oxidation or try to clean it with any copper cleansing method, like a paste of vinegar, flour, and salt.

Thanks for writing. I understand that kids can benefit from crystal energy, as I have a 2 year old son myself.

Regarding bracelets, they are a choking hazard for toddlers which is why we don’t sell them in tiny sizes. The small parts/beads are choking hazards should the bracelet break. My rough and energetic son just snapped one of my stretch bracelets apart last week, sending lots of little beads flying everywhere. That is why we have larger stones/rocks he gets to play with instead, under supervision :)

Hi,

I’m a little overwhelmed about which stones to pick for jewelry for my daughters and was hoping you could guide me. My first daughter is 2.5 yrs old and wants a bracelet. I would like to get one to help soothe (she is pulling out her hair sometimes when she twists and twirls it into knots as well as sucks her thumb). After reading your article on the top five crystals for children, I was wondering if amethyst would be the way to go. Could you give me a few options? My second daughter is 1.5 yrs old and suffers from hypothyroidism and is slow to walk and talk. She is wearing braces on her feet with low tone of her muscles. I was considering something to help with her throat chakra for her thyroid? Any other ideas for stones for her in terms of promoting strength? This one would definitely have to wear a chain necklace with a stone in it (nothing stretchy).
