Can you benefit from Hawks Eye stones?

If you can answer yes to one or more of these statements, Hawks Eye stones can benefit and enhance your life:

  • You want to share the keen eye of a hawk who misses nothing in its path
  • You want to sharpen your mind and instincts
  • You wish to better trust your intuition
  • You are drawn to shiny and rare gemstones
  • You love the mysterious and attractive nature of dark, chatoyant crystals

What is Hawks Eye?

Hawks Eye is the blue version of Tigers Eye. which also goes by the name of Falcon eye. This dark bluish- gray stone has a silky iridescent effect known as chatoyancy. The dancing movement is a result of the inner fibers being crumpled and bent upon the stones formation.

Like Tigers Eye, it is a 6-7 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness.

Transparency: Translucent (allows light through the crystal but not fully transparent)

What is Hawks Eye good for?

Hawks Eye is good for looking within and finding answers within your subconscious mind. A stone of intuition, it is great for focusing on the Third Eye chakra.  It helps you see the big picture rather than focus on the irrelevant details of everyday life.

The stone also brings you attentiveness to the world and to fellow creatures. It puts the cycle of life into perspective and helps you find your place in the natural order.

Sheila's personal experience with Hawks Eye

The raw piece of Hawks Eye mixed with Tigers Eye is one of my favorites. I already love raw pieces, so having this piece with both tones of the stone, is a prized possession. You can clearly see the chatoyancy and the line where the iron inclusions end and the Hawks Eye begins.

Lisa's personal experience with Hawks Eye

I am always on the lookout for rare Hawks Eye. Sometimes when I am carefully inspecting Tigers Eye spheres to find the best quality pieces for Satin Crystals, I run into a Hawks Eye ball that just takes my breath away. I love the dark and mysterious draw of this stone. They are rare and sell out every time.

When I wear a Hawks Eye bracelet, I feel strong and protected. It's as though my Hawk spirit animal is perched right there on my arm, watching over every movement with keen and vigilant eyes. It gives me a boost of confidence to get out and explore the wonders of the world.

Is Blue Tiger Eye natural?

Blue Tigers Eye, or Hawks Eye, is a naturally occurring stone. However, you will find dyed versions on the market. The dyed versions will look much brighter and blotchier than the naturally dark and banded Blue Tigers Eye.

What chakra is Hawks Eye?

Hawks Eye is great for the Third Eye chakra. It gets into the depths of your mind, accessing your intuition. Hawks Eye helps you seen clearly in both the physical and metaphysical world.

When you put Hawks Eye to your Third Chakra, you are more aware of everyday activities. Instead of blindly going about your routine, you start to gain a conscious awareness that each breath you take has meaning. Each step you take leads you to a new destination. By raising your conscious awareness, you are better able to not only follow, but also enjoy your life mission.

When you use Hawks Eye to open your Third Eye to the metaphysical world, it helps clarify your visions. Does it sometimes feel vague or fuzzy when you are trying to access your higher self, guides and angels? With Hawks Eye placed right on your Third Eye, visions and messages become crystal clear.

Are Blue Tigers Eye rare?

Blue Tigers Eye is much more rare than Golden Tigers Eye. The blue form in its natural state is not common, and if you do find it, you will usually see the brown parts of the stone mixed in.

How do you cleanse and charge Hawks Eye?

Because of its relative hardness, Hawks Eye is safe to clean in water. The stone is also okay in saltwater, but if you are worried about ruining a glossy polish on your Hawks Eye, we suggest using plain water or a running stream.

Because it comes from just below the Earth's soil when brought to the light by man, Hawks Eye finds great comfort at the base of your favorite plant.

Divination with Hawks Eye

Drawing Hawks Eye in a gemstone divination session means there's something you need to look out for. There's an opportunity nearby that's waiting to be seized. Don't close your eyes too long or the door may shut. Use Hawks Eye to clearly see the path before you, avoiding a pitfall of danger and recognizing opportunity instead.
