Crystal Placement at Home

Using Crystals in your Home

This guide is for those of you who want to get started in placing crystals in your home but you are not sure what crystal will go where. While there isn't a universal place that is right for everyone, you will learn what to look for and wherein the room to place it, giving you a sense of calmness and balance throughout your home.

It's important to understand that each crystal has its own natural pattern which vibrates on a level that you can only feel, rather than hear or see. This makes it beneficial to understand the correct placing of crystals, so you don't end up placing the wrong vibe in a room.

Home Office - Fluorite

You want to be as productive as possible in your home office. You need the right crystal to keep you focused. Fluorite has a quiet magic; you may not always feel the energy generating from the crystal, but rest assured, it's there. This stone provides a visual cue to remind you to focus on your work and keep your mind on the task at hand.

Fluorite comes in a range of colors and is most popularly found in greens and purples. Fluorite works best for focus displayed on your home office desk. Depending on your aesthetics, you can choose from professional pyramids and towers or cute Fluorite figurines.

Bedroom - Rose Quartz

This beautiful pink crystal offers you a soft color to provide a relaxing energy for the bedroom. While there are many colors of Quartz to choose from, this pink Rose Quartz is perfect for the bedroom. It vibrates a feeling of comfort and calmness.

To get the most out of Rose Quartz in the bedroom, place a crystal on the floor at each one of your bedposts to get the full effect of loving energies. It is like sleeping in a net of kisses.

Afraid your kids or pets will start playing with crystals placed on the floor? Place small Rose Quartz crystals under your pillow instead!

Entrance of your Home - Black Tourmaline

Leave the world outside when you come into your home. That's easier said than done, right?

Black tourmaline is a protective crystal that can brush off the negative vibes you may have unintentionally brought home. This shielding stone can give you peace of mind and comfort from the world outside. Place a raw cluster or a bowl of tumbled Tourmaline on a table, shelf, or anywhere that is in view of your front door.

Kitchen - Calcite

Your kitchen is the heart of the home. Everyone goes there to talk, to fulfill a need, to share and bond, or just to get some nourishment for the body.

For this room, you want a bright color that is also cheerful, like yellow. Calcite is available in a golden yellow, providing you with a feeling of warm energy.

Place Calcite in the window sill to catch the light of the sun, place the crystal on the counters and don't forget the table for maximum impact in the kitchen!

Living Room - Selenite

The living room is a great place to go to for relaxation. You want the feeling to be comfortable and cozy.

Selenite is a great crystal for the living room. Selenite provides a calming vibe, almost angelic energy, helping your guests to relax and unwind. Place Selenite crystal balls on the coffee table or as the centerpiece of the room; this allows for the energies to emanate equally through the space and ring group harmony. You could also place Selenite logs in the fireplace for a unique decorating idea.

Bathroom - Clear Quartz

Enliven your cold bathroom with the soothing energies of crystals. No other crystal will do the job like clear Quartz. You want the feeling to be relaxing in the bathroom and not bursting with energy. Clear Quartz can do just that.

You will want to place clear Quartz on the edge of the bathtub or on the sink counter and allow its self-healing properties to penetrate through the bathroom space.

Crystal Gifts for the Home

Searching for a host gift or just want to bring some holiday cheer into your own home? Look no further!

The kitchen is the heart of the house. Everyone goes there to talk, to fulfill a need, to share and bond, or just to get some nourishment for the body. For this room, you want a bright color that is also cheerful, like yellow. Calcite is available in yellow, and it really does catch your eye and provide a feeling of warm energy. Place Calcite in the window sill to catch the light of the sun. Place it on the countertops and don't forget the table!

Slabs and dishes are also wonderful home decor items. Not only are they beautiful and healing, but they are also practical and useful. Slabs can be used as platters, and dishes can hold items of all sizes.

Decorate your home with polished crystal balls, or gift a friend with these healing globes. The sphere represents the most perfect shape in the universe, allowing the energy of the crystal to radiate out equally through all sides. Place crystal balls in the center of a room or table for wholeness and group harmony.

Hi Carolyn, if the Citrine stone is stable enough to hold the Clear Quartz pyramid, that would be a perfect place for it! Quartz is known to amplify the energy of other crystals, and the pyramid shape is especially sacred.

Would be curious to see a picture if you do this placement!

Hi Samantha, thank you for your email. What a wonderful name for your niece, Amethyst :)

That’s an excellent first step to have a priest come and bless your house.

Second, or meanwhile, you should have some crystals around the house. If they used to make your space feel better, they will definitely do so now.

As for protection crystals, here is a whole article we have about which ones you can use: How to use Protection Crystals (https://satincrystals.com/pages/protection-crystals).

The most popular protection crystal with our Satin Crystals customers is Rainbow Obsidian, but other stones mentioned in the article will do as well.

Lisa Satin - January 31, 2020

Hello Sylvan,

I’m glad to hear that you are embarking on the journey of crystal ball scrying.

A lot of people use glass balls because it’s definitely more economical and is perfectly clear due to the fact that it’s factory-made.
Although we don’t discourage this, we prefer and recommend real crystal balls because with glass you don’t get the natural power of crystals.

For starters, we recommend clear spheres with natural inclusions. This could be Quartz or Amethyst. You can also look into semi-clear varieties of Fluorite, Madagascar Rose, and Calcite. With transparent pieces, you are able to gaze deep within the sphere for deep insight.

Once you are more experienced and can more easily enter into the trance state, opaque spheres do just as well.

We actually offer spheres ranging from marble size up to 8". We definitely keep a larger stock of the pieces that are 2 -3 inches, because those are the most popular sizes.

When it comes to scrying, at least 3 inches is nice, 4 and up is even better if it’s within budget.

If you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you,

Lisa Satin

I just wanted to ask if there is a recommended size for scrying with a ball; I was surprised to see that most balls you carry seem to be only about 2" (unless I’m misreading). I’ve been getting ready to find the right ball for myself but I have a really limited income and haven’t been able to find a lot of information or guidance about the difference in scrying with a glass, transparent ball versus an opaque stone or quartz ball. I read your mention of using many opaque balls, like lapis, but I’m wondering if the visual quality or the nature of the visions is different in an opaque vs a clear ball. I’m clairvoyant but have never used a ball before! Looking forward to learning more about scrying and finding the right ball for me. Thank you for your help!
